I am keen to gain experience in animal care as I have decided that I would like to work with animals. Due to my age (2!) I am unable to go back to college as I currently work full time, however I was wondering if anybody would give me the chance to work 1 day a week, or volunteer to care for their animals whilst they are away etc so I could gain some experience.

I have a cat of my own who I absolutely adore. I had her from a bad home and nursed her back to health. I am also extremely passionate about animals in general. I love dealing with them, I can cope with and understand their sometimes temperamental moods, I have dealt with sick animals in the past and those who have been nearing the end of their lives also so I am used to the less cheerful side of animal care also. I do not mind cleaning up after animals or interacting with them so they feel more comfortable around humans.

I understand that working with animals is a challenging role at times but I would like for somebody to give me the opportunity as all of my current experience with animal care has been outside of a professional role. I would like to be able to put on my CV that I have professional experience so I could increase my chances of eventually getting a job with animals.
