£700 · Ford Focus 1.6 Tdci Estate -Some issues

We are selling my wife's Blue Ford Focus Estate TDCI

It is a five door in blue ,

Being a Ghia , It was top end of spec at time with extra items such as factory fitted Climate control with chilled glove box , cruise control, rear audio control, window blinds etc etc

It has the economical 1.6 diesel engine

We have had it for nearly two years and it ran really well up till about 3 monthsago when it started to have performance issues

Initial diagnosis at local garage suggested turbo which we had changed on good advice and problem seemed to resolve itself .

However not long after turbo change over,we again started seeing performance issues , This time related to the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)

Having spent £600 on having the turbo changed and not wanting to go down a fault elimination route , we have reluctantly decided let the car go as we no longer cover the mileage daily /weekly to justify having a diesel and to allow the DPF to regenerate so it doesn't make sense to us to carry out the additional work .

Car is in very good condition for a 55 plate inside and out with normal wear related scuffs and marks .

Bodywork is very tidy with just a small ding about nearside front passenger wheel arch (see photo)

Plenty of receipts (history) the car has been well looked after over it's lifetime

Point of Note:-

As the car has been standing since we decided not to pursue any further repair , on turnover the engine will idle for about 10 seconds then cut out. Left for a minute or two then retrying with foot on gas gets engine started and idling . Believe this to be related DPF filter issue
