It is the newer ERP version (it has the red slider control on the brush head that allows for the suction power to be easily adjusted - unlike the original versions of the DC50).
It is suitable for both carpets and hard floors and great at picking up animal hair.
I have given it a thorough cleanout, including the filters and have dismantled the Cyclone unit, which is now totally spotless.
It comes with the multi-function crevice / brush tool.
The brush head works fine although the black bristles are worn down, the main red bristles are fine - this does not affect suction at all and it can be easily replaced if desired.
It is used, so there are a few small marks here and there due to normal use, but nothing major.
