Role/Title: Skilled Handyman, Carpenter
Hours: flexibile
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide efficient and effective repairs, making good and remediation of defects to customerw build and rental properties, including latent defects in accordance with the required standarts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To undertake items of repair to completed properties, both before and during occupation
To carry out retention works when subcontractors are unable to complete themselves
Travel to and from each site/development as and when required
To deal with repairs where necessary as instructed
To deal with electrical and plumbing repairs and fixings
Support with other ad hoc site or development based duties as and when required
KEY COMPETENCIES
Competent at building repairs and maintenance
Proficient tiler, decorator, carpenter with good knowledge of plumbing and basic electrical works
Ability to troubleshoot, think on your feet and solve issues quickly and thoroughly
Good communication skills
Good organisational skills
Excellent customer service skills
Well presented
Highly professional
Ability to use small industrial/electrical/mechanical equipment
Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions
Literacy and Numeracy skills sufficient to check delivery notes, measurements etc.
Ability to manage own time independently
Ability to determine the liability of either the developer or the homeowner for each matter attended to
Full UK Driving Licence
Own tools required
Good handyman experience
