There are excellent walking, fishing, cycling and wildlife spotting opportunities on the doorstep, and a short car ferry ride will take you to the Isle of Mull, or you can take the old road along the north shore of the Sound of Mull to catch the foot ferry from Drimnin to Tobermory, which runs every Monday and Friday and returns after three hours.
