RIGA Technical University (RTU) holds the distinction of being the oldest university in Latvia, with its inception dating back to 1862, boasting a legacy spanning 160 years. As the largest technical university in the Baltic Sea region, RTU enjoys state ownership and international acclaim.

Currently, RIGA Technical University enrolls over 14,000 students, with approximately 72% pursuing undergraduate studies and 28% engaged in postgraduate programs. Moreover, the university hosts a diverse community with more than 2,400 international students, supported by a faculty of over 880 skilled educators.

Comprising nine faculties, RTU offers a wide array of academic and professional study programs, encompassing engineering, social sciences, and humanities.
