These chairs were a horrid dark brown colour, so I sanded them and painted them
Painted with chalk paint & sealed with a satin varnish.
Varnish protects better than wax & will last much longer.
As with any used item they are not absolutely perfect, but there are no scratches or chunks missing from them and they are both very solid and robust.
