Here is my old house sign in thick slate. I down sized to a flat, so no longer needed. Very good condition. Size 5 1/2 inches by 17 inches by 3/4 inch in slate with gold writing. Has 2 holes for screws to attach to brickwork. I paid £40 for it around 8 years ago. Every few months I would wipe over with clean engine oil, which makes the slate black. The rain would wash it off and gave the usual grey colour, as in the photo.
This was made as a joke when we moved into a 3 bedroom council house. Amongst other things Entonnoir is French for a cone shaped hole in the ground, bomb crater.
