£11,995 · Motorhome, RV, Camper

The RV comes with comprehensive user manual, from which the following details are taken.

MERCEDES 'A' CLASS R.V.
Manufactured Germany. Coachwork by Arnold (Hymer)

3ltr. 5 cylinder Mercedes.

5 Speed Manual Gearbox. Twin rear wheels.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

The coachwork, built on a Mercedes truck chassis, was produced by Arnold, the German firm that eventually became Hymer.

The construction of the coachwork and interior is particularly sturdy and of high quality, which was a feature of the 'Arnold' brand. The main construction material for the bodywork is an aluminium sandwich sheet 25mm thick, comprising two aluminium sheets sheathing high density foam. The resulting structure is extremely rigid and provides excellent insulation. The interior trim is of 10mm veneer board and again, this provides great rigidity, far superior to the flexible materials used in later model motor homes and caravans.
